Ways to Play; The Order of Zen

Kicking things off this list covers my favourite systems to play Zen Pinball 2 on. For full disclosure I have not played on the Xbox Consoles or any Apple device so they are not considered here.

Ball 1; The Playstaion Vita

PlayStation Vita The primary reason that this wonderful little device is not rotting away at the bottom of a drawer is Zen Pinball. The screen is bright enough to give a clear picture (I have an original OLED system) and the speed of input is second to none. The Vita gets the best out of Zen Pinball and it will be a sad day when Zen Studios finally stop supporting the system (Fingers crossed that a long way in the future).

Ball 2; The PS4

The Cross Buy Functionality with the Vita and PS3 make this a solid second to the portable nature of the Vita. The only thing holding it up really is the speed of input and the fact I prefer the Vita’s controls to that of the PS4. In terms of the game though it is a solid way to play and should not be overlooked if you only have the Sony home console.

Ball 3; The PC

This is the Pinball FX entry (same game, different name). My PC can run this game without breaking a sweat giving a smooth performance without any frame rate issues.Obviously if your specs are on the lower end then this may not be the option for you but thankfully it’s not a demanding title around 1 Gig at the minimum end. The wonderful thing about this version is its application via steam, if it’s in your account you can play it on multiple devices and that cross compatibility is essential to the success of Zen’s work.

The Extra Ball; Samsung Tablet via Google Play

I have a Note Tablet and at 10 inches it can be a little difficult to play for long periods. However with a fast processor and high res screen it shows the game in its best light. Obviously the game is playable on a phone as well, unfortunately I found my fat thumbs struggled to grip the phone and adequately hit the flippers with the speed the game needs.
