Why this has piqued our interest

With the strong line-up coming from the Marvel cinematic universe some of the limelight has been taken from the smaller screen. Although with Agents of Shield and now Agent Carter the TV shows are back on the agenda and Daredevil is looking like it has the strength to run with its big screen cousins.
The best part is by coming to Netflix those not in the states will be able to see the show day and date of its premiere. This is a really big deal as as time of posting we in the UK are still unsure of if and when we will be able to see the aforementioned Agent Carter show.

Look out for our reviews when the show goes live in April.

Thanos has been cast and it may be a bit of a surprise!

Well I certainly didn't see this coming.

News has dropped that Josh Brolin is to play the Mad Titan Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy, and presumably the next instalments of the Avengers films. Latino Review broke the news that Brolin has been officially cast in the role of Thanos. According to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, the role has been cast for a while but they weren't ready to announce it until now.

Since the release of the Phase One films, Marvel has teased the Infinity Gauntlet storyline for quite some time now. With hidden easter eggs pointing towards the five Gems that make up the Infinity Gauntlet (an insanely powerful glove that Thanos uses in the comics).

Thanos’s next appearance will be in this summers major blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy. Although he is not the main antagonist in this film, It is likely he might be in another post credits scene to set up the events of the Avengers: Age of Ultron. But until we see the film, its to hard to tell what sort of role Thanos will actually have.

Guardians of the Galaxy is released  in Cinemas around the UK on the first of August this Summer.

We will bring more news on the film in the coming weeks but from the shot below you can tell the Guardians will be an interesting introduction into the Marvel universe.

Ant Man's Edgar Wright to step down?

Strange turn of events from Marvel this evening.

It would appear Edgar Wright has stepped down as director from the long running development of Ant-Man, one of Marvels Phase 3 films. Variety reports that Marvel does have another director in the pipeline, but aren’t  saying who at this moment in time.

What seems strange about this development is that Wright has been attached to this project since it was announced back in 2006 and even showed test footage to an audience at Comic-Con in 2012.

In a statement given by the now former director, Wright and the studio split up “Due to differences in their vision of the film.”

It’s interesting to see what will happen now with this surprising news. But as there hasn't officially been any footage, its hard to say what can be expected from the film.

Ant-Man is currently slated for a July 2015 release.
