I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to the Twilight Zone. I think I could count the number of episodes I have watched on one hand. However within popular culture the TV series is a hard one to miss. So with the release of this series it gives people like me a chance to get more into the Twilight Zone as well as giving fans something new to get their teeth into.
The first thing that hits you is the cover and it comes from one of the artists of the day Francesco Francavilla, this odd looking image is the perfect entry point for the story you are about delve into. The art in the book has similarities with the cover and this is pleasing to me. The continuity makes the experience more engrossing.
The story in some ways is very grounded in reality with a Banker doing some swindling and needing a way to escape. Here though is where things begin to get a bit ramped up. His solution is a dream of many a criminal, however the question still remains is the juice worth the squeeze and as the story unravels you begin to find out our anti heroes take on proceedings.
As an opener this has the lure to dram you in and the ending certainly has the hook in my mouth but can Straczynski and his team reel me in? Only time and a few more issues will tell.
