Spawn #249Review by Matt Taylor

The inevitable fall of Jim Downing as Spawn is just an issue away, with series creator, artist and longtime writer Todd McFarlane handing the reins over to a new creative team (Todd to edit) for issue #250 and the return of Al Simmons.
The battle between Jim Downing and the symbiote has began. Needing an explanation for what has happened to his critically ill love interest Sara, Jim confronted the symbiotic Spawn suit for the answers, with this confrontation releasing the evil within the suit and dooming the people of New York City. With things not looking so good for humanity, how will new information on an old character help?
Issue #250 is less than a month away, I’m looking forward to see where writer Brian Wood takes the story. The next issue will also feature cover art by longtime Spawn artist Greg Capullo and page art by Jonboy Meyers.
