The third issue of Shaolin Cowboy brings us back to a question I asked in my review for issue 2."However the question is, is this enough to carry a comic through an entire issue? "

This question was asked in regards to if a fight scene with no dialogue could carry an entire issue. I thought it could (sorry spoiler). Now the question rears its head all over again as the majority of this issue is made up of the conclusion of the zombie battle. The way I think of this particular fight is it occurs over 40 some pages and in a trade it will compose a great deal of the book. however the narrative stays true and it makes sense that our Monk would have to continue fighting as at the end of issue 2 he was still surrounded.

Thankfully we do get some deeper conversations at the end of the issue and we also get to see our hero in a level of distress which is quite a change from the norm for a lot of characters. Now the question will be can our hero go one more round?

Darrow I think is becoming one of my favourite artists there is kind of a comedy element to his drawings even if the whole situation is supposed to be life or death. I would love to see more of his art but at this time I'm happy to immerse myself in the adventures of the Shaolin Cowboy.
