Shaolin Cowboy #2 will be released by Dark Horse Comics on the 13th October 2013. You can read the review of #1 here

Geof Darrow is usually very busy when it comes to creating the Shaolin Cowboy. Writing and artwork can take a great deal of your time, thankfully for the characters in this issue are not the most talkative. In fact there are no words spoken throughout the entire issue instead we have the buzzing of chainsaws and a lot of carnage, an awful lot of carnage.
It has to be said the visuals are fascinating as we see zombies being decapitated and quartered at almost every turn. The motion in the twirling blades as well as the blood litterally exploding off of the page are enough to take your breath away at times.
However the question is, is this enough to carry a comic through an entire issue?
The simple answer is yes, the violence is interesting to watch and makes you want and need to turn the page in the hunt for the next scene. Its odd that I did not miss the dialoque but instead was engrossed in the panels.
However the concentration on the art meant a drop in the books longevity, I like to read a book a few times so absorb the visuals and text but this issue did reduce its potential in that way.
If you are a fan of the series I would say to wade in if this is your first dip I would say get issue 1 first.
The Comic is available in both print and digital from Dark Horse comics. Follow this link for more details.
