I have thoroughly enjoyed Sex Criminals to this point and I would direct you to my other reviews as proof of that fact. However there are some that do not feel the same namely a company related to a fruit that once beaned Newton. The decision to not allow the series on their site is a decision I do not agree with but rules are rules and you to have respect them for holding their line on content. This however does not mean you cannot poke fun at their slightly archaic views, something a new voice in series does extremely. This new voice is none other than Matt Fraction the author of the series. This new line in fourth wall destruction carries on from Susie's previous chats and gives an insight into the creation process of a book. His appearance is due to not getting approval in time to use the lyrics from a song and he rather imaginatively blocks lyrics with yellow boxes containing a few random thoughts. However I challenge anyone to read that section of the issue and not have the tones of Freddie and notes of Mr May running around their head.

So far we have had two issues of scene setting with a few brief glimpses of what to come. We are now reaching the business end of the introduction and it's getting more intriguing as time goes by. Usually I like either no exposition or a story that gives you the information you need slowly without making you feel lost as the story unfolds. In this second area I feel Sex Criminals is doing a masterful job. The story has enough humour, smut and the "quiet" to keep a great pace but there is always the sense that the story will soon be hitting you around the face with a rubber instrument of female pleasure (or dildo if you prefer) in the very near future.
