If you haven't read the adventures of this cute little dead girl before then you are in for a treat.
Lenore: Pink Bellies collects together issues 8-11, this four-issue story arc slowly reveals Taxidermy's (Lenore's creepy neighbour) sinister past while pitching Lenore into a series of increasingly silly and ridiculous adventures, from avoiding the attentions of a Ghost Busting film crew while battling with a squid-bodied Lenore from another dimension, to giving a mayfly the best day of its short life. This volume of Lenore is quite definitely the best one yet!
Roman Dirge created Lenore in 1992 for the San Diego alternative magazine Xenophobe. In 1997 he launched the Lenore comic in the US, which has since become a publishing phenomenon, spawning graphic novel collections, merchandising, video games and art books. Roman Dirge was also a guest writer for the hit Nickelodeon television series, Invader Zim.
For anyone that has enjoyed Tim Burton's The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy: And Other Stories or tales from Emily Strange, then Lenore: Pink Bellies is simply unmissable.
