The World of Ice and Fire
The prelude title to George RR Martins fantasy epic may have left some readers cold but for me it was an entry point in a riveting history of westeros and beyond. Laid out in a textbook format it is styled as though it was created by a Maister. The continuity of production gives the book a sense of weight and the many illustrations do wonders for the eyes in-between the passages This book is a worthy addition to the shelf of many of a Song of Ice and Fire's fan as well as those form the Game of Thrones ilk. 35 years old and the Alien franchise is still able to attract a large following. There is something rather unique about the Xenomorph and the films it appears in. This book celebrates the films within the franchise using interviews, photos, sketches and more to really allow you into the inner workings of the films. Art wise alone it's a hefty book with images from the original Geiger Alien as well as its descendants' this book is a must read for fans of the franchise. Read our review here |
