Pokémon TCG Card focus: Registeel; XY—Ancient Origins 51/98 Rare

Picture
One of the best draws from the Ancient Origins; Iron Tide deck. For a basic Pokemon he has a nice Hit Point value of 120 allowing absorption of a few attacks from the majority of unevolved attackers. When this is combined with his low attack cost of two energies one Metal and another then he can really mean business.

Registeel’s attacks are;
For Two Energies (at least one has to be Metal)
Iron Head; 30× Damage
Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads.

For Three Energies (at least one has to be Metal)
Forbidden Iron Hammer; 70 Damage
If your opponent's Active Pokémon is a Pokémon-EX, discard an Energy attached to that Pokémon.
You do have to be wary on the Weakness front pitting Registeel up against a fire type can be devastating as the damage done is doubled.

When all this is added together Registeel can make for a rather devastating addition to any deck and used well can be enough to get you out of any given sticky situation.

The Illustrator for this card is Kouki Saitou
