Like Booker utilsing a Sky Line attack, the first DLC for Bioshock Infinite came from out of the blue this week, but is it worth the Money? We will be bringing a full review soon but for now these are my early impressions. Firstly this DLC is all combat based. There is no story to speak of, we will have to wait for Burial at sea for some more narrative. Instead we get 4 maps complete with 60 challenges (waves) to complete. These have an escalating level of difficulty and are bolstered by Blue Ribbon variants. These are tasks like complete all kills with the shotgun only for example. Although not revolutionary they add a great deal in terms of replay value. The aim of the game is to obviously survive and take down your enemies and thankfully the sensible UI has remained from the game. There are of course some enemies who will rush, but snipers hide and try to pick you off making the gameplay feel more realistic. |
Although not what I expected from the DLC when I purchased the Season Pass, so far its been fun to go back to Columbia and get back into the DeWitt POV. Look out for a full review coming soon and if you want to read a review for the full game click the link or Picture below.
