Rugby League Live 2; World Cup Edition coming in November

17/10/2013

Believe it or not but there is a World Cup going on in England and Wales over the next month or so.
To celebrate this Tru-Blu are releasing a World Cup Edition of Rugby league live 2, the game will release on the 21st of November for both PS3 & Xbox360 with a number of updates from the core game (see panel below for more info).
For those unsure about which Rugby this game concerns it's League, the 13 man variant, more commonly popular in the north of England (even though I played it as a youngster). The game is extremely quick and due to its stop/start nature generally more easy to understand than the 15 man melee that is union.
It's great to see sports titles like this being made as an every point for New fans as well as giving loyal fans a chance to play the game they love.

Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition Rekeases New Screenshots, Concept Art and Music Samples

15/10/2013

Picture
Before there was Mass Effect Bioware were busy delving into the Forgotten Realms in search of adventure and they struck gold with the Baldur's Gate series. For many this was their entry point into RPG's and the memory of this game has remained a constant source of frustration that the series was never brought up to date.
(The above may just be me (Paul), but I love the Forgotten Realms Books with the Dark Elf Trilogy being my favourite series. So the Baldur's gate games naturally fit into my love for the world).
So it is with baited breath that I await the 15th of November to arrive when (as long as my new PC has arrived) I will get the chance to play the enhanced version of the game. To tied many like me over we have a few screens and a link to the Beamdog Soundcloud page where you can listen to some wonderful audio while you go about your day.

WATCH_DOGS DELAYED UNTIL SPRING 2014

15/10/2013

Following is a statement directly from the Watch_Dogs development teams announcing the delay of all versions to Spring 2014:
“Our ambition from the start with Watch_Dogs has been to deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming. It is with this in mind that we’ve made the tough decision to delay the release until Spring 2014.

We know a lot of you are probably wondering ‘why now?’ We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune every detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you. We thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the way you respond on the web, at events, press conferences and during other opportunities we have to interact. Your passion is what drives us.

We can’t wait to see you in Chicago next Spring. We are confident you’ll love this game as much as we love working on it.”

EMINEM Survival Music Video featuring CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS

9/10/2013

The fusion between different forms of entertainment medium is becoming stronger all the time. From Superhero video games to comics based on IP's like Mass Effect and Bioshock.

Call of Duty though has the pull to grab some serious attention in the form of its association with music and in this case Eminem. Love him or hate him there is no denying the Rapper is a global star and his association with the Marmite of FPS titles has moved into new territory with his latest music video. Not only does he sport the now infamous Ghosts mask but you can also see game footage in the background of many of the shots.

In a very crowded market will this kind of association help both sides gain market share? I suppose we will have to wait to after November the 5th (when both the game and album are released) to see.

Be warned the Video is explicit as it says on the top banner below.
