By Steph Dumont Feel the need to head back to Paradise City for some old school boosting? (It's def in my stack of games to go back to) If the answer is YES then you may been in for a treat as Criterion have today made the Legendary Car DLC available to download on the Xbox 360 for FREE in honour of Harold Ramis, who played Egon in the Ghostbusters films. The Legendary Car DLC gives you the chance to boost away through the streets of Paradise City in a Hunter Manhattan Spirit made to look like the Ecto 1 and also includes the Jansen 88 Special, Hunter Cavalry Bootlegger and the Carson GT Nighthawk. Available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace and you can set it to download later if you're otherwise engaged on your Xbox One via the link here, http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Product/Burnout-Paradise-Legendary-Cars-Collection/00000000-0000-400c-80cf-000645410806?cid=search This guy got some rad air. By Steph Dumont Head ups everybody! Invites are being sent over Xbox Live messages to preview the next Xbox One Update! The official word over on Xbox Wire:
"The team is working hard to deliver some exciting updates in March that will make Xbox One even better. But in order to ensure our customers have the best experience on Xbox One and Xbox Live, we need the help of our passionate community. Beginning today, Xbox is inviting select Xbox Live members to preview new features coming to Xbox One in a March system update and future system updates as they become available, asking them to provide valuable feedback before the updates are implemented worldwide. Selected participants will receive a message over Xbox Live with a code to register. The next system update will begin rolling out next week to those who will preview the new features. Once registered, participants will be able to test the early features included in the update and provide feedback on a private forum and can opt out of future waves. Like Marc Whitten announced last week, the updates coming in March will significantly improve the multiplayer and party experiences on Xbox One. We’re counting on our fans to share their input as we’re putting the final touches on the new features that we plan to deliver in early March. Thanks for helping make Xbox One even better. We look forward to hearing your feedback on the system updates whether you are participating in the preview or not. We love to hear from you." Woohoo! Updates! Lovely lovely updates! Let us know if you manage to get it and let us know what's going on in the inner workings. By Steph Dumont Kojima Productions and Konami have released a comparison video for all formats running Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Both next gen versions run at 60fps but at 720p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4. The PS4 does look a little sharper than the Xbox One but hey! Where are the clouds? Is it the power of a weather change system or cloud gaming? Nevertheless, it still looks pretty good even though previews suggest that the story is only 2hrs long although some might've missed the point about replaying and side missions.
Thankfully I've got a copy on preorder from www.gameseek.co.uk for £24.75 so everyone complaining about the price/length of game, I suggest you look around. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes gears up for release next month on the 21st March. By Steph Dumont In the past few weeks Microsoft launched a viral promotion for Titanfall with an updated version of the Xbox One advert which revealed hidden clues to blag some goodies. I checked it out and got stumped (to be fair it was really cleverly done) but some lucky players scored some decent prizes! Check out the video above.
The Titanfall beta continues till the 19th and the game releases Tuesday 11th March in the US and 14th March in the UK. By Steph Dumont Thief releases on the 28th February in 900p whilst once again the PS4 comes up masterful thieving the 1080p resolution.
In a recent chat with Eurogamer, Square Enix claimed the difference is not glaring. "You really need good eyes to see the difference," said Thief director Nicolas Cantin, before adding that the Xbox One game "is as good as the PS4 version." So there we have it. After the recent news that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is going to be 720p on the Xbox One and 1080p on the PS4 AND(!) now that we have seen Titanfall in action at 792p during its beta stage, are we really that bothered about resolution? Can we really tell the difference? Because I don't know about you, but I'm too busy playing these fantastically looking games to care anymore anyway. Ever since the XboxOne reveal there have been questions on the cross media options for the rest of the non-American world. Well Microsoft had turned to the sometimes controversial producer/chatshow host Jonathon Ross and his production company in a way to offer an improved cross media experience. Although Ross is well known for his passion of gaming it seems his exhaustive will be more utilised in the launching of new media ip's instead of games. The full press release is below fir those who want the full lowdown. Microsoft today announced a partnership with Jonathan Ross and his company Hotsauce Interactive, which will see the entertainer and his colleague Georg Backer join the Microsoft Studios team as Executive Producers.Ross brings over 25 years of broadcast and production experience to his new role having hosted some of the UK’s most popular TV and radio shows including “The Jonathan Ross Show,” the “Film” series, and the “British Comedy Awards” among countless others.Jonathan Ross will consult with a number of Microsoft Studios including Lift London, Rare, Lionhead and Soho Productions bringing his unparalleled understanding for audience trends to the studios’ development of IP across multiple distribution channels including TV, music and movies.Lee Schuneman, Studio Head at Lift London who will work closely with Jonathan Ross stated, “We’re really excited to be working with someone of Jonathan’s calibre, we share so many of the same passions and influences it just makes perfect sense.” “Microsoft Studios is focused on creating the best in class cross-media entertainment, with Lift London specifically looking at creating IP across multiple channels. Jonathan will be a huge asset for us as he really knows how to connect to mass audiences with an impressive understanding for audience tastes and trends,” continued Schuneman.“I’m thrilled to be joining forces with Microsoft Studios. The explosion in cross-media opportunities and the chance to create and develop entertainment ideas that make the most of both the traditional and the very latest platforms is tremendously exciting. My love of games, movies and TV made this partnership a no-brainer. And they said they’d give me an Xbox One for free, so how could I possibly refuse?” said Ross Believe it or not but there is a World Cup going on in England and Wales over the next month or so. To celebrate this Tru-Blu are releasing a World Cup Edition of Rugby league live 2, the game will release on the 21st of November for both PS3 & Xbox360 with a number of updates from the core game (see panel below for more info). For those unsure about which Rugby this game concerns it's League, the 13 man variant, more commonly popular in the north of England (even though I played it as a youngster). The game is extremely quick and due to its stop/start nature generally more easy to understand than the 15 man melee that is union. It's great to see sports titles like this being made as an every point for New fans as well as giving loyal fans a chance to play the game they love.
Some say he can be beaten but you will have to buy Forza Motorsport 5 to find out.
