When it comes to Batman I have spent more time in the Rocksteady's Gotham/Arkham than in any other form of media. I love the Nolan/Bale films and there are comic runs that are special. However with Arkham Asylum Rocksteady crafted a complex tale with an interactivity that up to that point I had not experienced. Now with the Brititsh developer back at at the helm it looks like Arkham Knight will be my game to look out for in 2014 (Paul).
Below is the first official gameplay trailer and it looks mouthwatering to say the least.
Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.
Even though we know Arkham Knight is well on its way Arkham Origins still has a story to tell. The arrival of Mr.Freeze is usually a time to suffer and from the looks of things this time will be no different for the people of Gotham. The big question is can you help the world's greatest detective get rid of the walking Ice maker?
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released Cold, Cold Heart, the action-packed story add-on for Batman ™: Arkham Origins. Set on New Year’s Eve, Cold, Cold Heart sheds light on the tragic origin story of Mr. Freeze and players will discover how he earned his place as one of Gotham City’s greatest villains. Cold, Cold Heart is available today for purchase on the PlayStation®Network, Xbox Live Games Store and STEAM for £7.99 and also for players who have purchased the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass and are connected to the Internet.
The announcement that Rocksteady were going to be creating the new Batman Title caused quite a stir when it was initially announced. The Arkham franchise is perhaps one of the best of the last generation but it will be great to see what the studio can do going into this new era of gaming. All I can say it that I am desperate to play this game and we will be following the game until its release.
