“This is a love letter to the fans, but it’s also the beginning of a story that will give gamers a new perspective on the BioShock universe,” said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. “With Burial at Sea, we built a Rapture not from BioShock and BioShock Infinite scraps and pieces, but with environments almost entirely crafted from scratch.” To be honest the title says it all. One of this generations best titles will be releasing its DLC starting on the 12th of November (13th for PS3 Europe). The question will be can the finest of the generation have the pull to keep away the next gen? We will soon get the chance to see and from Ken Levine's quote above it seems they are aiming for the stars with their underwater escapade.
In the weekend that saw Seb Vettel record his fourth straight title, it may also be forgotten that other teams are still racing in their own championships. The smaller teams like Caterham are not as big as Ferrrari, McLaren or Red Bull but they are still pushing hard to be top of the new team league. Ever since the XboxOne reveal there have been questions on the cross media options for the rest of the non-American world. Well Microsoft had turned to the sometimes controversial producer/chatshow host Jonathon Ross and his production company in a way to offer an improved cross media experience. Although Ross is well known for his passion of gaming it seems his exhaustive will be more utilised in the launching of new media ip's instead of games. The full press release is below fir those who want the full lowdown. Microsoft today announced a partnership with Jonathan Ross and his company Hotsauce Interactive, which will see the entertainer and his colleague Georg Backer join the Microsoft Studios team as Executive Producers.Ross brings over 25 years of broadcast and production experience to his new role having hosted some of the UK’s most popular TV and radio shows including “The Jonathan Ross Show,” the “Film” series, and the “British Comedy Awards” among countless others.Jonathan Ross will consult with a number of Microsoft Studios including Lift London, Rare, Lionhead and Soho Productions bringing his unparalleled understanding for audience trends to the studios’ development of IP across multiple distribution channels including TV, music and movies.Lee Schuneman, Studio Head at Lift London who will work closely with Jonathan Ross stated, “We’re really excited to be working with someone of Jonathan’s calibre, we share so many of the same passions and influences it just makes perfect sense.” “Microsoft Studios is focused on creating the best in class cross-media entertainment, with Lift London specifically looking at creating IP across multiple channels. Jonathan will be a huge asset for us as he really knows how to connect to mass audiences with an impressive understanding for audience tastes and trends,” continued Schuneman.“I’m thrilled to be joining forces with Microsoft Studios. The explosion in cross-media opportunities and the chance to create and develop entertainment ideas that make the most of both the traditional and the very latest platforms is tremendously exciting. My love of games, movies and TV made this partnership a no-brainer. And they said they’d give me an Xbox One for free, so how could I possibly refuse?” said Ross ![]() Mike Bithell, creator of Bafta award winning game, Thomas Was Alone, has announced new details about his upcoming MGS homage, Volume. Speaking, quite appropriately, from Nottingham Castle at this year's Game City event, Mike has also revealed the actors involved in the project. Volume tells the story of Robert Locksley, a petty thief who stumbles upon a volume, a training simulator used to train the forces of an ongoing military coup. With a matter of hours until he is found, and an excellent internet connection, he hatches a plan to broadcast simulations of robbery against England's wealthiest, to demonstrate to the nation's poorest. With the assistance of the volume's tutorial AI he sets out to become the world's first crime Let's Player. Along the way, he'll draw the attention of Gisborne, architect of the revolution, and many potential allies. Volume adapts the story of Robin Hood to a near future setting for a new generation. The heroic anarchist of legend is reborn as a charming show-off who plans to turn a lucky accident into a chance to save his country and become a hero. Two of the game's stars have also been revealed. First up is Danny Wallace, playing the friendly if slightly weaponry obsessed AI who supports Robert in his mission. Danny won a BAFTA for his narration of Thomas Was Alone, Bithell's last game, and he is excited to be back working with him. Starring as Robert, himself, is Charlie McDonnell, youtube star and the talent behind charlieissocoollike. This will be his first video game appearance, and Mike is 'super excited' to be bringing in such an 'awesome' chap. The following Sunday (27th of October) at 4pm, Mike and Charlie will be onstage at the MCM Expo in London, taking questions about the game and showing off some gameplay. You can find out more info about the game at his site or follow @mikebithell on twitter Thank you to everyone for joining in GTA Online throughout this first month of its release, for all of your awesome Online Snapmatic pics and Crew videos that we’ve spotted, for your patience and understanding as we’ve been working through the initial teething issues of launching an online experience like this, and for your excellent feedback to the officialGTAOnline@rockstargames.com email address. THE CONTENT CREATOR ![]() The new DLC from Volition is out tomorrow. Originally destined as DLC for Saints Row III, but with such a compelling central idea that Volition turned it into a fully fledged game, 'Enter the Dominatrix' is finally here to play as extra content for Saints Row IV. With boundless self-referential humour squashed into a couple of hours of content, expect to get more of the same batshit-crazy fun you have already seen in the main game. This is not just a skin pack, or extra weapon download package (although there are some new fun weapons and outfits to be had as you play), but actually extra story content which adds to the main game without ruining any of the existing canon. You can actually play even before finishing the main story, however you do have to reach a certain level to be able to access the missions and side quests. The story presents you with the Saints being interviewed by a reporter on their spaceship about the DLC pack. That's right, in the usual smash down of the fourth wall, the Saints discuss the history of the famous DLC-that-became-a-game in the actual DLC itself, with each character commenting on their roles within. The missions are presented as flashbacks, which you play through with tongue-in-cheek comments from all the crew narrated over your gameplay. ![]() The missions are a pure joy, as ever, with the emphasis being placed on unadulterated fun, rather than challenging gameplay. There is plenty of fan service being pushed out too, with many references to geek-genre entertainment, although, as the name suggests, the Wachowski bros do get hit with the parody paddle on plenty of occasions. One particular protagonist, in sunglasses and long leather jacket, features, making complaints about the editing process of the game which left out many of his favourite lines. This is much like the minor character from the original Matrix movies who appeared with a more important role in the disappointing game tie-in. There are plenty more gaming-related jokes too. At the beginning your character pointedly ignores a request to go through the laborious tutorial process as, quite rightly, the player should know all this by now (much like the beginning of Blood Dragon). There are some pretty funny scathing comments from the Saints about having to do the usual fetch quests and escort missions, and pixelated fast forwarding of some of Kenzie's tech related exposition, with a loud, "BORING!" from the president. The final level reaches new heights of (self-confessed) craziness and the primitive cut scene footage is another homage to the cutting room floor style of the DLC. The scene with The Saints travelling out of Paul's head made me laugh out loud. If you are feeling jaded after putting many hours into GTAV, Enter the Dominatrix is a very welcome tonic; it certainly put a smile on my face. It is no coincidence that Volition are releasing this DLC now, their timing is pretty good. It certainly made me want to jump back into Steelport for a bit of gimp bashing, so to speak. If you've played the main game already, or are still missing wielding your big purple dildo bat, I can throughly recommend downloading this. You might be cautious about spending £5.99 for two hours play, but this gets you a package (ahem) of high density fun and genuinely good humour. Whip-crackingly good. Join one of the greatest racers of all as Michael Schaumacher takes his 1996 Ferrari F310 around the Imola track. This video is being released as the 90's DLC for F1 2013 hits the XBox Live Market place and Playstation store this week (look out on the day your store updates along with the pricing information). ![]() Warface has seemingly been in development for a long period of time but today the game has gone live in North America, Europe and Turkey. The Crytek title looks impressive but the proof will be in the playing so it's time to mount up soldiers and see what this game can do. X Rebirth is the culmination of 7 years of development redefining what a space simulation can be.

The Wolf Among Us![]() In terms of narrative The Walking Dead pushed Telltale up with the best developers in the world. However the Walking Dead has left a burning question can the developer continue to produce experiences that can rival the best of was their adaptation of Robert Kirkman's world a fluke. Now we have the chance to find out as they take on another comic tale this time drawing from Fables by Bill Wilingham in The Wolf Among Us. To celebrate this Tru-Blu are releasing a World Cup Edition of Rugby league live 2, the game will release on the 21st of November for both PS3 & Xbox360 with a number of updates from the core game (see panel below for more info). For those unsure about which Rugby this game concerns it's League, the 13 man variant, more commonly popular in the north of England (even though I played it as a youngster). The game is extremely quick and due to its stop/start nature generally more easy to understand than the 15 man melee that is union. It's great to see sports titles like this being made as an every point for New fans as well as giving loyal fans a chance to play the game they love.
