Gameplay Diaries; Dead Island Definitive Edition.
By Paul Fiander
In this section Paul will look at his return to the Dead Island franchise on the PS4 version of the game. Expect videos Photos and of course articles as he delves deep into the Zombie Apocalypse.
For starters I have played Dead Island and DI; Riptide on the PS3 and enjoyed both games to varying degrees. My favourite was the first game it seemed more fun especially the maiming of the undead. Although Riptide try to recreate the whole atmosphere it did not feel a unique at the time, along with one of two odd glitches the game was let down. I will not call the franchise the best of all time or anything silly like that but it represents a fun time either alone or in four player co-op where you can have a enjoyable time without the fear of information overload. In other words kick back and batter zombies with a mixture of weapons from blades to bats and the occasional firearm. |
Being a definitive collection we get both remastered titles a s well as a nice bonus in Dead Island Retro Revenge a side scrolling 16 bit game that certainly adds to the nostalgia quota of this definitive Edition.
