Good day blog-o-sphere!
When we last spoke I was deep in debate over whether or not I was going to pick up MLB The Show 14. Well, after much should searching, I have decided to pass. There is just too much replay value in the 2013 installation for me.
As my experience around the game revolves solely around Road to the Show and Franchise modes, I just didn't have the heart to start all over again.
Interestingly enough, this is something that the fine developers of the series seem to have thought of. Starting next year with MLBThe Show 15, I'll be able to import my RTTS player and my existing franchise games into future versions of the game. So starting next year. I'll have a better reason to stay current since I will not have to start over each year when I get on a roll.
So that means I have still been playing my good ol' MLB the Show 13 while I fly around the country.
My last two trips though have allowed me the privilege of bringing my family along with me. I have been to a couple of great cities and experienced new places with them, rather than sit in a hotel room playing games all night. It has been wonderful, but I still miss my console from not being at home, and I still miss my baseball time that I set aside every night in the hotel after work.
So it is with mixed emotions I embark on my next trip. I will fly to my home town on Sunday where I will stay for a few hours, not even leaving the airport, before I leave for the next week's solitary trip.
More games, less hugs. Not the most fair trade, but at least I won't be bored.
Thanks, and until next time!
